Nobody needs to know anything beforehand and nobody needs to book. Come by, look around, and if it suits you, stick with it.

Your first visit

Thursday evening or Saturday morning, just turn up. You do not need to bring anything or have a plan. Maybe you only want to look around, maybe chat, maybe talk through an idea that has been on your mind for a while. That is a good enough reason to come. Costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Getting shown the machines

Before you use a machine on your own for the first time, we show it to you. For most of them that is quick. For the saw, the mill and the laser we take more time, because more can go wrong. After that you work on your own. For the saw, the mill and the laser someone else has to be in the building, though, and for the big machines someone who knows them. On your own you have the printers, the soldering station, parts washing and the sandblasting cabinet.

If you can and want to carry more

You become a member with a yearly contribution that pays for maintenance, spare parts and new machines. You pick what works for you. The committee decides on admission. As a member you are not tied to the open hours: once you have the introductions for the machines you want and the committee agrees, you come and work whenever you have time.

If it does not work out financially right now, we will find a solution together. Money should not be the reason it does not happen. Just write to us.
